A clear result.

Use this free online dice roller for board games, tabletop sessions, or a quick random choice. Select the number of dice and their sides, then press Roll dice. Each die gets its own result; the total adds them together.

Roll a D6, D20, or another die

A D6 has six faces, numbered 1–6. A D20 has twenty, numbered 1–20. This tool also includes D4, D8, D10, D12, and D100. The D100 returns a number from 1 to 100, rather than two separate percentile dice marked 00–90 and 0–9.

What does 2d6 + 3 mean?

Roll two six-sided dice and add 3 to their sum. Choose two dice, D6, and a modifier of 3. If the dice show 2 and 5, the total is 2 + 5 + 3 = 10. A negative modifier subtracts from the total; enter a minus sign followed by the number.

Equal chances, with each roll

The browser’s Web Crypto random generator supplies the random bytes. Values that cannot be mapped evenly to the chosen die are discarded and sampled again. This avoids giving some faces an extra chance. The short animation reveals the result; it does not choose it.

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Can I roll two dice at once?

Yes. Set Number of dice to 2. You can roll up to six dice at once, see each result, and copy their combined total with any modifier.

Can I roll the same number twice?

Yes. Repeated results are normal. A previous roll does not remove that face from the next roll’s possible outcomes.

Are all two-dice totals equally likely?

No. Each face on a die has an equal chance, but totals can have different chances. With two D6 dice, 7 has six combinations, while 2 and 12 each have only one. Each ordered pair has a 1 in 36 chance.

Does this online dice roller work on phones?

Yes. Tap Roll dice; there is no app to install. Reduced-motion settings remove the rolling animation.

Are my rolls saved?

The last five completed rolls stay in page memory. Clear history removes them; reloading or closing the tab clears them too. No roll history is uploaded or stored by this tool.
