Uses your device’s clock

The clock follows your device’s time settings.

Free to use. No account. Choose a time zone and make yourself comfortable.

One clock.
A choice of places.

The clock starts in your device’s local time zone. Choose a city or UTC to see the same moment somewhere else. Switch between a 24-hour clock and a 12-hour display with AM or PM, and hide the seconds when you want a quieter view.

Full screen for a larger display

Select Full screen to fill the screen with the clock and its controls. Select Exit full screen or press Escape to return. Availability depends on your browser and device.

Where the time comes from

This clock reads your device’s current time. It does not independently synchronize with an atomic clock or a network time server. If your device’s clock is inaccurate, the display will be inaccurate too. Check your operating system’s automatic date and time setting when accuracy matters.

Time zones and daylight saving

Named zones use your browser’s time-zone rules, including daylight saving where applicable. UTC stays at the same offset throughout the year. The date also updates for the selected zone, so another city may be on a different calendar day.

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Does the clock keep running in another tab?

The display pauses updates while the page is hidden. When you return, it reads the current device time immediately, so missed updates do not accumulate into a delay.

Can I use it as a stopwatch?

Use the online stopwatch to measure elapsed time and record laps. This page shows the current time of day.

Can I show the time without seconds?

Yes. Clear Show seconds. The display still updates to the correct minute and date.

Will my settings be saved?

Your choices last while this page stays open. Reloading starts again with local time, a 24-hour display, and seconds.
