Equal chances. Every single flip.
A fair way to make a small decision
Two options.
One less thing to think about.
Picking who goes first? Choosing between two movies? Assign one option to heads and the other to tails, then flip. Agree on what each side means before you start.
How to flip a coin online
Tap the coin or the yellow Flip coin button. On a keyboard, you can also press the space bar. The coin lands on heads or tails, and each result is added to your session history.
Want to play a few rounds?
Choose Best of 3 for the first side to reach two wins, or Best of 5 for the first to reach three. Flip once for each round. The tool keeps score and announces the winning side when the match is decided.
How the result is chosen
Each toss uses a random value from your browser’s cryptographic random generator. Half of the possible values mean heads and half mean tails. The animation reveals that result; its timing doesn’t change the outcome.
A few good questions
About the coin flip
Is this coin flip 50/50?
Heads and tails have equal probability on each toss. That does not mean every short run will be evenly split. Getting several heads in a row is a possible random outcome.
Do earlier flips affect the next result?
No. Each flip draws a new random value. A run of heads does not make tails “due” on the next toss.
Can I flip without sound or animation?
Sound is off by default. If your device has reduced motion enabled, the tool skips the toss animation and shows the result immediately.
Is my flip history saved?
Your history stays in memory on this page. It is not sent to a server or saved in your browser’s storage. Reset the session or reload the page to clear it.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Tap the coin or the button in any modern mobile browser. You do not need to install an app or create an account.
